Welcome to our online website.  The information found here is an attempt to better serve you and expedite your business within the various departments of the County Clerk’s Office. I have been your County Clerk since 1993 and appreciate your continued confidence in my ability to serve this community.  

The County Clerk is an elected position with duties set out statutorily in the Texas Constitution as follows:

Article 5 - JUDICIAL DEPARTMENT

Section 20 - COUNTY CLERK

There shall be elected for each county, by the qualified voters, a County Clerk, who shall hold office for four years, who shall be clerk of the County and Commissioners Courts and recorder of the county, whose duties, perquisites and fees of office shall be prescribed by the Legislature.

May 2009

Congratulations to Joy Streater for being named "2009 County Clerk of the Year" by the County and District Clerks Association of Texas.

July 2010

The courthouse annex building has upgraded the security of the building which included the County Clerk's Office. Metal detectors and courthouse security checkpoints have been added to ensure your security and safety.

September 2, 2010 - No Commissioners Court

September 6, 2010 - County Holiday, offices will be closed

September 24, 2010 - County Holiday, offices will be closed.

October 7, 2010 - No Commissioners Court

November 10, 2010 - Commissioners Court will be on Wednesday.

November 11, 2010 - County Holiday, offices will be closed

November 23, 2010 - Commissioners Court is moved to Tuesday

November 25 & 26 - County Holiday, offices will be closed.

December 21, 2010 - Commissioners Court is moved to Tuesday.

December 23 & 24 - County Holiday offices will be closed.
