8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims. APPROVED

2. Amendment to Plat;

a. Cypress Cove, Section One, combining Lots 245 and 246 into Lot 245R. (Pct. #4) Approved

b. Eden Ranch, Section 3, combining Lots 93 and 94 into Lot 93R. (Pct. #4) Approved

c. Canyon Lake Village West, Unit No. 2, combining Lots 203 and 204 into Lot 203R. (Pct. #1) APPROVED

d. Eagles Peak Ranch, Unit No. 1, combining Lots 80 and 81 into Lot 80R. (Pct. #4). APPROVED

3. Determine platting requirements for:

a. Lot 68, Park Lane Estates, Unit 5. (Pct. #2) APPROVED

b. Lots 1 and 2, Block 3, Spring Branch Acres (Pct. #2) DENIED

c. Lot 41, Eden Ranch, Section 2 (Pct. #4) DENIED

4. Grant variance for encroachment into the 25’ front building setback on Lot 14, Cranes Mill Landing, Unit 1. (Pct. #1) APPROVED

5. Acknowledge the proper construction of the private roads with High Ridge Ranch, and release associated surety, Irrevocable Standby Letter of Credit No. S26473T. APPROVED

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Discussion concerning Senate Bill 285 and the potential for an additional District Court in Comal County.

2. Reports from Elected Officials and Staff

3. Reports from Citizens.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

6. Public hearing to consider new proposed private street name Goodman Plaza, in the Westhaven Subdivision. (Pct. #1) APPROVED

7. Approve Proclamation naming Wednesday, February 16, 2005, as "Child Advocacy Day" in Comal County. APPROVED

8. Discuss and consider waiver of penalties and interest accrued on ad valorem taxes and take appropriate action. VOTED ON INDIVIDUALLY, TWO APPROVED, TWO DENIED

9. Discuss and consider refunds (over $2,500.00) of ad valorem tax overpayments or erroneous payments and authorize the Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector to remit refund payments. APPROVED

10. Approve Tax Assessor-Collector’s Monthly Collection Report – January 2005. APPROVED

11. Final Approval Comal County’s Sexually Oriented Business Order and Regulations. APPROVED

12. Reappoint members to the Comal County Housing Authority with a term to expire April 2007. APPROVED

13. Select members to serve on the 2005 Comal County Salary Grievance Committee.

14. Authorize the bonding of one (1) Notary Public for the Comal County Sheriff’s Office per

Order #92. APPROVED

15. Approve Comal County Sheriff’s Office Annual Contact Data Report for 2004, and authorize County Judge to sign. APPROVED

16. Acceptance of Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG Grant) with Interlocal Agreement between City of New Braunfels and Comal County as Disparate Agencies to share funds of $43,930.00. APPROVED

17. Approve Cooperative Agreement (COOPLAW-05-COMAL) between Comal County and the Department of the Army Fort Worth District Corps of Engineers for additional law enforcement services in Comal County, Canyon Lake, Texas and authorize County Judge to sign. APPROVED

18. Approve Pharmacy Consultant Agreement between Comal County Public Health and Raymond Mendez, Jr. R.PH and authorize County Judge to sign. APPROVED

19. Declare ZUMRO Inc. as a sole source for the Decontamination Trailer for Emergency Management (per AACOG). APPROVED

20. Approve contracts with Contract Services as budgeted in the 2005 Budget and authorize County Judge to sign. APPROVED

21. Authorize requesting bids for: Vehicle Equipment for 2005 Crown Victoria Police Interceptors for the Comal County Constables. APPROVED

22. Open bids for: Uniforms for the Comal County Sheriff’s Office and Comal County Constables.
