8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims. APPROVED

2. Amendment to Plat, Lantana Ridge, Unit Three, combining Lots 22, 23, and 24 into Lot 22R. (Pct. 1). APPROVED

3. Public hearing and the vacate and replat of Lots 904 and 905, River Crossing, Unit Five, establishing Lots 904R, 905R, and 922 and grant variances (Pct. 1). APPROVED

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Report from Citizens.

3. Report on the 4-H and Youth Development Program from Karla Friesenhahn, County Extension Agent 4-H & Youth Development and special guests.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

4. Open bids for repairs to the Comal County Courthouse Annex roof.

5. Proclamation recognizing October 3-9, 2004 as "National 4-H Week" in Comal County.

APPROVED

6. Proclamation naming the month of October as:

a. "Czech Heritage Month"; APPROVED

b. "Domestic Violence Awareness Month",

………. in Comal County. APPROVED

7. Ratify the County Judge’s signature for the Fiscal Year 2005 Emergency Program Grant Renewal Application. APPROVED

8. Approve Comal County Community Plan for submission to the Alamo Council of Government’s Criminal Justice Division for utilization in grant funding. APPROVED

9. Ratify County Judge’s signature on the State and Local Task Force Agreement between the San Antonio District Office of Drug Enforcement Administration and Comal County Sheriff’s Office for DEA officer overtime and asset forfeiture funds. APPROVED

10. Authorize County Judge to sign contracts with Mrs. Dottie Johnson and her related entities, including but not limited to, Payment Processing Direct, NBS, First USA Bank, Paymentech Information, EZ-Check, Cross Check and First Data Merchant Services Corporation, which allow payment processing via electronic check transfer and sets the current rate for processing fees via credit card machines for Comal County offices. APPROVED

11. Approve Memorandum of Agreement with Texas Department of State Health Services, formerly the Texas Department of Health for Comal County to receive strategic national stockpile materials in the case of a bioterrorism event and authorize County Nurse to sign. APPROVED

12. Approve line item transfer in Computer Services from: Software to: Non-capital Equipment in order to relocate Adult Probation to a separate network from the County’s and to upgrade the Emergency Operations Center equipment and install additional terminals. APPROVED

13. Award bids for repairs to the Comal County Courthouse Annex roof. APPROVED
