ACTION AGENDA

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon

1. Claims. APPROVED

2. Recognition of employees for years of service to Comal County.

3. Acknowledge the proper construction of the private roads within Lantana Ridge, Unit Five, and release associated surety, Construction Bond No. 41BCSBV7337, or direct County Engineer to take appropriate action. (Pct. #1) MOVED TO RELEASE SURETY BUT DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE PROPER CONSTRUCTION OF THE PRIVATE ROADS.

4. Authorize the temporary closure of a segment of JDJ Drive on October 23, 2004, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a civic event, pursuant to Transportation Code 251.158. (Pct. #1) APPROVED

5. Final approval of Spring Branch Meadows, Unit 2, accept associated road surety, and grant variance request (Pct. #4) NO ACTION TAKEN

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Report from Citizens.

 

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

6. Accept donation of one Hewlett Packard Net Server to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division in "as is" condition from the Children’s Advocacy Center for Comal County. APPROVED

7. Approve entering into the following professional service agreements with Volz Architects relating to the Comal County Courthouse Restoration Project: Master Plan, Space Use Study, Preparation of CAD Plans, and Grant Application Assistance. APPROVED

8. Approve Resolution 2004-69 for the Indigent Defense Formula Grant Funds for Comal County and authorize County Judge to sign. APPROVED

9. Approve Resolution of support to allow Sheriff’s Office to conduct and receive training as established by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education. APPROVED

10. Approve the bonding renewal of one Notary Public for the Sheriff’s Office per Order #92. APPROVED

11. Consider and approve cash drawer increase for Tax Office Ad Valorem Deputies. APPROVED

12. Approve line item transfer in Recycling from: Office Supplies to: Equipment and Supplies to cover additional costs. APPROVED
