CALL TO ORDER

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Approve Claims. APPROVED

2. Final approval of Meadow Springs Estates, Unit 1 and grant variance. (Pct. #2) APPROVED

3. Public hearing and the Vacate and Replat of Lot 28, Bear Creek Hills, Unit Six, establishing Lots 28A, 28B, and 28C. (Pct. #1) APPROVED

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Report from Citizens.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

4. Approve the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers proposed Easement No. DACW63-2-05-0507 (renewal and replacement to Easement No. DACW63-2-97-0597) and Consent No. DACW63-9- 05-0508 for the Village West Boat Ramp, and authorize County Judge to sign said easement and consent. (Pct. #1) APPROVED

5. Proclamation recognizing November 2004 as "Adoption Month" in Comal County. APPROVED

6. Discuss and consider waiver of penalties and interest accrued on ad valorem taxes and take appropriate action. No Action- Moved to 11-23-04

7. Approve Tax Assessor-Collector’s Monthly Collection Report-October 2004. APPROVED

8. Approve renewal of Community Supervision and Corrections Agency Agreement between Comal County and Hays County Community Service Restitution Program and authorize County Judge to sign. No Action-Moved to 11-23-04

9. Approve renewal of Community Supervision and Corrections Agency Agreement between Comal County and Community Service Restitution Program for participation in the Community Service Program and authorize County Judge to sign. APPROVED

10. Designate a Comal County Representative, as outlined in Section 311.003(g) of the Texas Tax Code, to represent Comal County in the City of New Braunfels’ consideration of creating a Tax Increment Financing District. APPROVED

11. Approve line item transfer in:

a. Animal Control from: Supplies to: Mobile Phones to cover expenditures for the remainder of 2004; APPROVED

b. Road and Bridge fund from: Salaries; Sand, Gravel, Cement, etc, Contract Services, Training Expense, and Capital Equipment to: Gas & Oil; Tires & Tubes, Traffic Control Devices, Building Maintenance, Parts & Repairs, Waste Disposal, Equipment & Supplies, Non-Capital Equipment, Overtime, Equipment Rental, and Safety Equipment to cover increase in fuel costs, construction equipment tire replacement and from non-capital equipment, seven hand held & seven vehicle radios. APPROVED

 

12. Authorize Requesting Bids for:

a. Various Services related to Comal County Animal Control; APPROVED

b. Portland Cement for the Comal County Road Department; APPROVED

c. Unleaded Gasoline and Premium Diesel Fuel; APPROVED

d. Road Materials: Flexible Base, Type A, Grade 2/Flexible Base, Type A, Grade 6/Hot Mixed-Cold Laid Asphaltic Concrete /Hot Mixed Asphaltic Concrete/Uncoated Aggregate, Type B, Grade 3/Uncoated Aggregate, Type B, Grade 4/Emulsified Asphalt HFRS-2P / Emulsion EPS-DC/Asphalt Stabilized Base, Grade 1/ and Black Base, Type A, for the Comal County Road Department. APPROVED

13. Open Bids for Security System for Comal County Courthouse Building-Annex Building, Juvenile & Adult Probation Buildings, with the ability to add other buildings as needed.
