DECEMBER 18, 2003 REGULAR SESSION AGENDA RESULTS

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims. APPROVED

2. Approve Treasurer’s Monthly Investment Report as of November 30th, 2003. APPROVED

3. Amend 2004 budget in Road & Bridge Fund to change one new Senior Operator position to a new Mechanic position. Both positions are Group 9/Step 1 no monetary change is necessary. APPROVED

 

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Freeport Exemption Proposal presentation by Michael Meek.

2. Reports from Elected Officials and Staff.

3. Reports from Citizens.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered and acted upon:

4. Approve the display by Themeworks and Musication of one miniature building façade with a sign which will direct the public to Polar Village. APPROVED

5. Adopt Resolution No. 2003-88 regarding Comal County’s consumption of electricity by County facilities. APPROVED

6. Establish temporary branch early voting locations for the March 9, 2004, Primary Election.

7. Approve Tax Assessor-Collector’s Monthly Collection Report – October 2003.

Changed to November 2003 and APPROVED

8. Discuss and consider refunds (over $2,500.00) of ad valorem tax overpayments or erroneous payments and authorize the Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector to remit refund payments.

9. Approve Comal County Investment Policy – 2004. APPROVED

10. Approve Order #102 for Rules and Procedures for Fire Investigation by County Fire Marshall. APPROVED

11. Discuss and take appropriate action regarding prohibiting outdoor burning. Order #103.

APPROVED

12. Approve remodeling to Justice of the Peace, Precinct One Building, 3079 W. San Antonio Street, to provide for accommodations of Justice of the Peace, Precinct Three. TABLED

13. Authorize extension of occupational disability/injury leave of 30 days for Deputy Seesengood through January 19, 2004. APPROVED

14. Designate day, time and location of 2004 Commissioners Court meetings. APPROVED

15. Designate "Acting Judge" responsibilities for 2004 Commissioners Court meetings during the absence of the Comal County Judge. APPROVED

16. Award Bids for:

a. Various Services Related to the Comal County Animal Control program;
APPROVED

b. Portland Cement for the Comal County Road Department; APPROVED

c. Road materials: Flexible Base, Type A, Grade 2/Flexible Base, Type A, Grade
6/Hot Mixed-Cold Laid Asphaltic Concrete/Hot Mixed Asphaltic
Concrete/Uncoated Aggregate, Type B, Grade 3/Uncoated Aggregate, Type B,
Grade 4/Emulsified Asphalt, HFRS-2P/Emulsion EPS-DC/Asphalt Stabilized
Base, Grade 1, and Black Base, Type A for the Comal County Road
Department; APPROVED

d. Unleaded Gasoline and Premium Diesel Fuel for Comal County.
