NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 11th day of September, 2003 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER

EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims.

2. Approve Treasurer’s Monthly Investment Report as of August 31^st, 2003.

3. Final approval of:

(a) River Crossing, Unit Five, accept Construction Bond No. B21871383 as road surety, accept dedication of right-of-way, and grant variance request; (Pct. 1)

(b) Brownhaven, and accept dedication of right-of-way. (Pct. 1)

4. Consider a variance to allow trees to remain within the right-of-way within Records Ranch Subdivision. (Pct. 4)

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Report from Citizens.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

5. Discuss and consider waiver of penalties and interest accrued on ad valorem taxes and take appropriate action.

6. Adopt Comal County 2003 Ad Valorem Tax Rate and levy taxes in order to fund 2004 budget.

7. Consider renomination of Commissioner Millikin to the South Central Texas Regional Water Planning Group (Region L).

8. Present County Court At Law Search Committee recommendation to Commissioners Court for approval.

9. Line item transfer in Treasurer’s Office from: Copier Maintenance to: Travel to fund line for remainder of 2003.

10. Authorize requesting bids for:

(a.) Single Guardrail Terminal for County Road Department;

(b.) Vehicle storage building for Sheriff’s Office.

11. Open bids for South Access road Rip-Rap Construction within Comal County.

I, the undersigned, Clerk of the Comal County Commissioners’ Court do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the Comal County Commissioners’ Court is a true and correct copy of said Notice. I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 8th day of September 2003, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
