COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS
NOTICE is hereby given that a
CALL TO ORDER
EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.
8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA: The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:
1. Claims.
2. Public hearing and approval of a Vacate and Replat of Lot 48R, Hill Country Resort, Phase 10R, establishing Lots 48RR, 48A, 49A, 50A, 51A, 52A, and 53A. (Pct. #4)
WORKSHOP AGENDA:
1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.
2. Report from Citizens.
3. Comal County 4-H and Youth Development program update by County Extension Agent Karla Friesenhahn.
ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED: The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:
3. Proclamation recognizing Destination Dignity Month in Comal County.
4. Approve Resolutions:
a. #2003-51 to amend the previously adopted annually determined
rate to TCDRS to authorize cost of living adjustments for Comal County
retirees as approved in the 2004 adopted budget;
b. #2003-49 Supporting Highway Funding Equity Act of 2003.
5. Approve application for Emergency Management Program Grant through the Texas Division of Emergency Management and authorize County Judge to sign.
6. Approve Tax Assessor-Collector’s Monthly Collection Report – August 2003.
7. Discuss and nominate member(s) to the Comal Appraisal District Board.
8. Canvass the results of the September 13, 2003, Constitutional Amendment Election.
9. Approve Emergency Notification System Mutual Aid Agreement between Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network District and County of Comal and authorize County Judge to execute agreement and appoint County Judge, Emergency Management Director, as the senior governing official pursuant to this agreement.
10. Declare certain county property as surplus to be auctioned September 27, 2003, at New Braunfels Police Department starting at 10:00 a.m.
11. Approve January 1st, 2004 as effective date for County Court at Law #2.
12. Accept donation of $2,500.00 and increase the Non-Capital Equipment line in the Sheriff’s Office to purchase SWAT equipment.
13. Consider allowing the District Attorney to move the hiring date for the Clerk 1 position from January 1, 2004 to November 1, 2003. The Hot Check Fund would provide funding, for the position during November and December.
14. Budget Amendment in Tax Office from: Comal Appraisal District and the Tax Office FICA and Retirement lines to: Tax Office Software for purchase of new tax program software.
15. Budget Amendment to establish Mobile Phone line in Building Maintenance Department from: General Fund Reserves.
16. Award Bids for:
a. Upgrades to the existing Security Camera System at the County Sheriff’s Office and Jail. b. South Access Road Rip-Rap Construction within Comal County.
