NOTICE is hereby given that a
CALL TO ORDER EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.
8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA: The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:
1.Claims.
2 Final approval of :
a. The Legends at Rancho Del Lago, Unit 2, accept Construction Bond #TXIFSU0288275 as road surety, and accept Construction Bond #TXIFSU0288276 as Storm Water Drainage Improvements surety. (Pct. #4)
b. Lantana Ridge, Unit Five, accept Construction Bond No. 41BCSBV7337 as road surety, and grant variance request. (Pct.#1)
3. Consider and approve a request from Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority to place rain gauges within County Right-Of-Way on Krueger Canyon and Bretzke Lane.
4. Accept the roads within El Dorado Heights, Unit 3, into the Comal County Unit Road System, and release associated surety, Construction Bond No. TXIFSU0288235. (Pct. #4)
5. Amendment to Plat, Canyon Lake Shores, Unit No. 3, combining Lots 444 and 445 into Lot 444R. (Pct. #4)
6. Acknowledge the proper construction of the private roads within:
a. Lantana Ridge, Unit Four, and release associated surety, Construction Bond
No. 41BCSBV7330. (Pct. #1)
b. Valero Estates, Unit 2, and release associated surety, Irrevocable Standby
Letter of Credit No. 507. (Pct. #4)

7. Accept donation of one 8’ x 12’ portable building from Dorothy Chandler into the Sheriff’s Office Inventory.
8. Proclamation recognizing October 23-31, 2003 as "Red Ribbon Week" in Comal County.
9. Confirm Comal County electoral votes cast to Eric Couch for position on Comal Appraisal District Board of Directors.
10. Approve Interstate Interlocal Contract for Cooperative Purchasing through the H-GAC Cooperative Purchasing Program of the Houston –Galveston Area Council for purchase of vehicles and equipment through the Homeland Security Funding Grant and authorize the County Judge to sign.
11. Approval of Commissioners Court Term Minutes for May 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2003; June 5, 12, 19, 26, 2003; and July 3, 17, and 24, 2003.
12. Budget amendment in:
a. Commissioners’ Court from: General Fund Reserves to: Consulting Services
to fund the cost analysis of repairs/ renovations of the Courthouse.
b. Animal Control from: General Fund Reserves to: Animal Tending &
Boarding to cover costs for the remainder of the year.
13. Line-item transfer in the Jail from: Landscaping and Prisoner Supplies to: Office Supplies, Police Supplies and Non-Capital Equipment to cover the costs of supplies for the remainder of the year and for the purchase of Non-Capital Equipment.
14. EXECUTIVE SESSION as authorized by Government Code Section 551.071 for consultation with attorney regarding pending litigation –Barbara Ferrara vs. Comal County Sheriff’s Office Civil Action Number SA-03-CA-0409OG.
15. If necessary, discuss and take appropriate action on any and all items or matters discussed in Executive Session.
