NOTICE is hereby given that a
CALL TO ORDER EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.
8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:
The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:
1. Claims
2. Amendment to Plat:
a. Rivermont, Unit No. 3, combining Lots 14 and 15 of Block 13 into Lot 14R. (Pct. 1)
b. Mystic Shores, Unit Four, combining Lots 432 and 524 into Lot 432R. (Pct. #4)
3. Approve an agreement between Comal County and Southerland Properties, Inc., Harris Road Company, Inc., and Pro-Tech Engineering Group, Inc. pertaining to the repair of roads within River Chase Unit 1, 2, and 3 and authorize the County Judge to sign said agreement. (Pct. #4)

The following subjects will be discussed, considered and acted upon:
4. Ratify the abatement and demolition of nuisance at Lots 178, 179, and 180, Section 5, Cypress Cove, a subdivision in Comal County, Texas.
5. Approve Resolution #2003-87 (Notice of Lien) and authorize County Judge to sign placing a lien on Lots 178, 179, and 180, Section 5, Cypress Cove, a subdivision in Comal County, Texas for costs associated with the abatement and demolition of a nuisance.
6. Authorize the County Treasurer to be nominated as the Deferred Compensation Plan Sponsor Representative for Comal County to sign necessary contracts(s) with related companies, being Nationwide Insurance Company, Hartford Life Insurance Company, and/or their affiliates, relating to deferred compensation services for Comal County.
7. Change the County Election Precinct boundaries for Precinct 404 and 406 and change the polling place location for Precinct 404 from Four Square Gospel Church to Cross Lutheran Church.
8. Approve Memorandum of Understanding between Comal County and Brooks Air Force Base, Texas for handling of deaths of United States Air Force members, and authorize County Judge to sign.
9. Approve job description and salary for part-time nurse in Public Health. No budget amendment required.
10. Approve Immunization Contract with Texas Department of Health and Comal County Public Health.
11. Line-item transfers:
a. County Treasurer from: Computer Components & Software to: Dues;
b. Road & Bridge Fund from: Salaries, Traffic Control Devices, Roadway Stripping, State Surplus Projects to: Overtime, Tires and Tubes, Sand, Gravel, Cement, Etc., Safety Equipment, and other Construction Projects;
c. County Auditor from: Assistant Auditors, FICA, Hospitalization to: Overtime, Unemployment Compensation, Office Supplies, Non-Capital Equipment, Computer Components & Software, and Dues/GFOA Report Fee;
……….. to cover expenditures for remainder of the year.
d. District Court from: Computer Components & Software to: Travel, Telephone & Dues to cover the cost of the trip to Plano for TSG classes and expenditures for the remainder of the year;
e. County Court-At-Law Clerks from: Office Supplies to: Travel to cover he cost of trip to Plano for TSG classes.
12. Open bids for:
a. Various Services Related to the Comal County Animal Control Program;
b. Portland Cement for the Comal County Road Department;
c. Road materials: Flexible Base, Type A, Grade 2/Flexible Base, Type A, Grade 6/Hot Mixed-Cold Laid Asphaltic Concrete/Hot Mixed Asphaltic Concrete/Uncoated Aggregate, Type B, Grade 3/Uncoated Aggregate, Type B, Grade 4/Emulsified Asphalt, HFRS-2P/Emulsion EPS-DC/Asphalt Stabilized Base, Grade 1, and Black Base, Type A for the Comal County Road Department;
d. Unleaded Gasoline and Premium Diesel Fuel for Comal County.
13. Award bids for:
a. Two (2) 2004 Light duty, compact, extended cab, 6 cyl. short bed, one half ton pickup trucks;
b. One (1) 47" Combination Steel Front Drum and Rubber tire rear wheels articulating, vibratory roller.
