NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 3rd day of October, 2002 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER

EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ANYONE NOT WISHING TO PARTICIPATE MAY BRIEFLY LEAVE THE COURTROOM.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims.

2. Introduction of new hires(s) and authorize County Judge to sign new hire checklist(s) and job descriptions(s) as appropriate.

3. Recognition of employees for years of service to Comal County.

4. Appoint Commissioner Schwab with authority to act in all respect to dispose of an abandoned Armadillo Lane within the Hancock Oak Hills Subdivision within Comal County, Texas (Pct. #4).

5. Abandon Armadillo Lane located in Hancock Oak Hills Subdivision within Comal County, Texas. (Pct. #4).

6. Amendment to Plat:

a. Comal Hills, Unit No. 1, Block 3, combining Lots 325 and 326 establishing Lot 325R (Pct. #4).

b. River Crossing, Unit One, combining Lots 82 and 83, establishing Lot 82R. (Pct. #1).

c. Rivermont, Unit No. 2, Block 11, combining Lots 21 and 22, establishing Lot 21R (Pct. #1).

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Report from Citizens.

3. Cooperative Extension Agent report on small landowner survey and Web-Assisted Learning for landowners in Comal County.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

7. Rescind action taken by Commissioners Court on September 19, 2002 concerning Clean Air Plan for Comal County and the Early Action Compact Agreement with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for lack of a full court.

8. Clean Air Plan for Comal County and the Early Action Compact Agreement with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

9. Interlocal Agreement with the Alamo Area Council of Governments for solid waste grant funding in the amount of $14,850.00 for the purchase of a forklift to be used jointly by the Household Hazardous Waste Collection and the Rural Recycling Department and authorize County Judge to sign.

10. Resolution #2002-39 to adopt the Emergency Alert System/Amber Alert Plan for the local San Antonio, Texas operational area, which includes Comal County.

11. Resolution #2002-40 for the Indigent Defense Discretionary Grant Program for Comal County and authorize County Judge to sign grant application.

12. Joint beautification project at intersection of River Road and Sattler Road by the Late Bloomers, Morning Glory and Wildflower Garden Clubs.
