NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 7th day of November, 2002 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER

EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ANYONE NOT WISHING TO PARTICIPATE MAY BRIEFLY LEAVE THE COURTROOM.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims.

2. Introduction of new hires(s) and authorize County Judge to sign new hire checklist(s) and job descriptions(s) as appropriate.

3. Treasurer’s Monthly Investment Report for October 31, 2002.

4. Remove from the table of October 31, 2002 and acknowledge the proper construction of the public roads within River Chase, Unit Four, and release associated surety, Construction Bond #26-13-01 (Pct. #4).

5. Remove from the table of October 31, 2002 to Vacate and Replat of Lots 549. 550, and 551, River Chase, Unit Five, Establishing Lot 549R, within Comal County Texas (Pct. #4).

6. Amendment to Plat:

  • a) Canyon Lake Shores, Unit No. 2, combining Lots 252 and 253, establishing Lot 252R (Pct. #4)

  • b) Mystic Shores, Unit One, combining Lots 104 and 105, establishing Lot 104R (Pct. #4)
  • 7. A 0.627 acre tract of land and a 0.624 acre tract of land being out of the John Noyes Survey No. 259, Abstract No. 430, Comal County Texas, and being out of a part of the Old San Antonio Road (Pct. #3)

    8. Approve quitclaim deed for:

    a) 0.365 acre tract of land being a portion of a road called Armadillo Drive also known as Texas Drive as shown on the plat of Hancock Oak Hills Subdivision as recorded in Volume 3, Pages 52-53, of Map and Plat Records of Comal County Texas (Pct. #4)

    b) 0.0.098 of an acre of land being a portion of Triple Peak Drive as shown on the subdivision plat of Triple Peak Ranch Estates, Unit 2, recorded in volume 3, Page 87, of the Map and Plat Records of Comal County (Pct. #1)

    c) 0.112 of an acre of land being a portion of Triple Peak Drive as shown on the subdivision plat of Triple Peak Ranch Estates, Unit 2, recorded in Volume 3, Page 87, of the Map and Plat Records of Comal County (Pct. #1)

    WORKSHOP AGENDA:

    1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

    2. Report from Citizens.

    3. Report from the County Engineer concerning the utilization of the flood recovery maps for Comal County.

    ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

    The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

    9. Set 2003 holiday schedule for Comal County Offices.

    10. Ratify County Judges signature on Texas Association of Counties County Government Risk Management Pool Renewal Applications for Law Enforcement and Public Officials Professional Liability Coverages.

    11. Authorize County Judge to appoint a committee to study and recommend potential enhancements to Comal County’s Sexually-Oriented Business Order.

    12. Line item transfer in County Court At Law Judge from: Travel, Interpreter and Visiting Judges to: Mental Commitments to fund line for remainder of 2002.

I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 4th day of November, 2002, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
