NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 7th day of August, 2003 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER

EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims.

2. Final approval of Woodlands Subdivision, Unit 22. (Pct.1)

3. Direct County engineer to issue permits for Lot 1, Ron Travis Subdivision, within Comal County, Texas. (Pct. 2)

4. Public hearing to consider the placement of regulatory signs on County roads. (Pct.4)

5. Amendment to Plat, Vacate and Resubdivision of Lot 21, Emerald Valley Subdivision, combining Lots 21F, 21G, and 21H into Lot 21FR. (Pct. 4)

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Report from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Report from Citizens.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

6. Recognition of John C. Ritter-Sergeant Department of Public Safety for years of service.

7. Accept donation from Wal-Mart in the amount of $1,200 for the purchase of equipment for the Fire Marshal’s truck and approve budget amendment in the Sheriff’s Office Non-Capital equipment for the same.

8. Approve and authorize County Judge to sign Inter-local Agreement between Comal County and Water Oriented Recreation District for submission of Texas Parks and Wildlife Boat Ramp Grant Program Application for Village West Boat Ramp.

9. Approve and authorize County Judge to sign renewal of Inter-local Agreement between Comal Independent School District and Comal County Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement services for 2003/2004 school year.

10. Consolidate four polling places for the September 13, 2003, Constitutional Amendment Election.

Spanish: Consolide Cuatro centros electorales para el 13 de Septiembre de 2003, la Elección Constitucional de la Enmienda.

11. Appoint the maximum number of clerks for each polling location for the September 13, 2003, Constitutional Amendment Election.

Spanish: Designe el número máximo de empleados para cada ubicación que sondea para el 13 de Septiembre de 2003, la Elección Constitucional de la Enmienda

12. Appoint Early Ballot Board Judge for the September 13, 2003, Constitutional Amendment Election. Nominee – Kathy Hoegenauer.

Spanish: Designe el Juez Temprano de la Tabla de la Votación para el 13 de Septiembre de 2003, la Elección Constitucional de la Enmienda. Nominado: Kathy Hoegenauer

13. Discuss and take appropriate action on outdoor burning.

14. County Judge presents recommended budget to Commissioners’ Court and files with County Clerk

15. Approve line-item transfers from TJPC Challenge Grant Cash Match and TJPC Grant Funds Match to Youth Services and CJD Accountability Grant to cover amounts needed for balance of year.

16. Award bids for Hidden Valley Sports Park Restoration project to repair damages caused by July 2002 Flood.

I, the undersigned, Clerk of the Comal County Commissioners’ Court do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the Comal County Commissioners’ Court is a true and correct copy of said Notice. I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 4th day of August 2003, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
