NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 22nd day of January, 2004 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims

2. Approve Treasurer’s Monthly Investment Report as of December 31, 2003.

3. Final approval:

a. Mountain Springs Ranch, Unit One, accept Construction Bond No. B21871407 as road surety, accept dedication of right-of-way, and approve variance request;

b. The Vistas at Mountain Springs Ranch, Unit One, accept Construction Bond No. B21871408 as road surety, and approve variance requests.

4. Remove from the table of 1-8-04- Final approval of Mystic Shores, Unit Ten, accept Construction Bond No. B21871415 as road surety, and accept dedication of right-of-way. (Pct. #4)

5. Accept the extension of road surety, Construction Bond #TXIFSU0288256, for The Legends at Rancho Del Lago, Unit 1. (Pct. #4)

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Reports from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Reports from Citizens.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered and acted upon:

6. Remove from the table of 1-15-04 - Amendment to Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Comal County and the city of Bulverde for use of a park and recreational facilities.

7. Approve the building warranty and roof warranty from Wingfield Construction for the

Extension Service Building, and authorize the County Judge to sign said agreements.

8. Ratify project agreement between the Natural Resource Conservation Service and Comal County for the Emergency Watershed Project, Phase IV for the removal of sediment within the Guadalupe River near the confluence of the Canyon Dam emergency spillway as signed by Commissioner Dawson as Acting Judge on January 14, 2004.

9. Consider and approve Resolution 2004-02 allowing Comal County to license the use of various properties acquired through the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.

10. Accept grant donation from Target Stores for $750, for the purchase of two (2) Mavica digital cameras and cases as non-capital equipment for the Sheriff’s Office.

11. Select members to serve on the Comal County Salary-Grievance Committee.

12. Amend 2004 budget:

a. General Fund – Environmental Health from: Uniforms to: Document Imaging to cover the remaining balance owed to the contractor doing the work.

b. Purchasing from: General Fund Reserves to: Salary and Benefit lines for the Part-time clerk position approved in 2003 after the budget was adopted.

c. General Fund – Environmental Health from: Capital Equipment to: General Fund Reserves to remove the two new pickups budgeted for 2004 but purchased in 2003.

I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 19th day of January, 2004, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
