NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 18th day of March, 2004 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Approve Claims.

2. Approve – Treasurer’s Monthly Investment Report February 29, 2004.

3. Amendment to Plat Mystic Shores:

a. Unit 4, combining Lots 448 and 449 into Lot 448R (Pct. 4);

b. Unit 4, combining Lots 427 and 428 into Lot 427R. (Pct. 4)

4. Consider and approve an Interlocal Agreement for the City of San Antonio, pertaining to compliance with Local Government Code, Chapter 242, concerning subdivision platting with the extraterritorial jurisdiction of municipalities.

5. Accept dedications of public right-of-way within Cadillac Canyon Subdivision and Cadillac Canyon Subdivision No. 2. (Pct. 4)

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Reports from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Reports from Citizens.

3. Recognition of Joyce Wheeler, District Clerk’s Office for years of service with Comal County.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered and acted upon:

6. Recognize Master Naturalist, Lindheimer Chapter, for their volunteer contributions.

7. Receive recommendation from Purchasing Agent concerning proposals for engineering services for the proposed flood retarding structure.

8. Approve Resolution #2004-09 recognizing March 14 to 20 as "National Agriculture Week" in Texas.

9. Discuss and consider waiver of penalties and interest accrued on ad valorem taxes and take appropriate action.

10. Discuss and approve Resolution #2004-10, authorizing sale of certain properties for less than amount of delinquent taxes owed.

11. Discuss and consider refunds (over $2,500.00) of ad valorem tax overpayments or erroneous payments and authorize the Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector to remit refund payments.

12. Approve Tax Assessor-Collector’s Monthly Collection Report – February 2004.

13. Approve Tax Assessor-Collector’s Yearly Collection Report – January 1, 2003 – December 31, 2003.

14. Consider and approve a Tax Abatement Agreement with Senior Flextronics, Inc.

15. Authorize requesting bids for Reflectorized Paint/Stripping for the Comal County Road Department.

16. Open Bids for:

a. The Sattler Road Drainage Improvements within Comal County, Texas;

b. Comal County Road Department Sedimentation/ Filtration Basin within Comal County;

c. One medium Duty Diesel Truck for County Road Department;

d. Three medium Duty Diesel Dump Trucks for County Road Department.

17. Award Proposals for Contractor Services for the Management of Household Hazardous Waste.

I, the undersigned, Clerk of the Comal County Commissioners’ Court do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the Comal County Commissioners’ Court is a true and correct copy of said Notice. I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 15th day of March, 2004, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
