NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 1st day of April, 2004 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissionersí Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims

2. Approve Treasurerís Monthly Investment Report February 29, 2004.

3. Accept the work in River Chase, Units 1, 2, and 3, in accordance with the agreement between Comal County and Southerland Properties, Inc., Harris Road Company, Inc., and Pro-Tech Engineering Group, Inc. (Pct. #4)

4. Amendment to Plat:

a. Horseshoe Falls Estates, Block 1, combining Lots 6 and 7 into Lot 6R. (Pct.#4);

b. Rivermont, Unit No. 6, block 29, combining Lots 17 and 18 into Lot 17R. (Pct. #1)

5. Set time, date, and place for public hearing to consider the placement of certain regulatory signs on County roads. (Pct.#4)

6. Set the time, date, and place to consider the approval of the application to cancel a public road dedication, being Hidden Meadows Drive, within Hueco Estates, Unit One, within Comal County. (Pct. #1)

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Reports from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Reports from Citizens.

3. Report from NRCS on the debris removal project in the Guadalupe River near the confluence of the Canyon Reservoir Spillway.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered and acted upon:

7. Proclamation Recognizing April as:

a. "Sexual Assault Awareness Month" in Comal County;

b. "Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month" in Comal County.

8. Approve Resolution 2004-14 authorizing submission of a grant application by the Comal County Housing Authority for Continued Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Funding.

9. Reappoint members to serve on the Comal County Housing Authority.

10. Ratify License Agreement between Comal County and Canyon Lake Horseshoe Falls Estates Property Owners Association. (Pct. #4).

11. Consider and approve Resolution 2004-15 concerning Union Pacific Railroad.

12. Discuss and approve Resolution #2004-16, authorizing sale of certain properties for less than amount of delinquent taxes owed.

13. Consider presentations from two engineering firms for the engineering of the proposed flood retarding structure and select a firm to negotiate an agreement for such services.

14. Budget amendment from:

a. AACOG Household Hazardous Waste Grant to: Grant Revenue, Advertising and printing and Non-capital equipment for AACOG grant award;

b. Commissionersí Court General Fund Reserves to: Guadalupe Basin Coalition dues.

15. Authorize requesting bids for emergency management travel trailer.

I, the undersigned, Clerk of the Comal County Commissionersí Court do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the Comal County Commissionersí Court is a true and correct copy of said Notice. I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 29th day of March, 2004, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
