NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS' COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS' COURT will be held on Thursday, the 2nd day of September, 2004 at 8:15 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Courtroom, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.

CALL TO ORDER-EACH REGULAR SESSION WILL BE OPENED WITH A PRAYER AND PLEDGES TO THE FLAGS-ALL PERSONS IN ATTENDANCE ARE WELCOME AND FREE TO PARTICIPATE OR NOT AT THEIR PERSONAL DISCRETION.

8:15 a.m. ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Claims.

2. Determine platting requirements for a 17.12 acre tract of land being out of the H. Specht Survey No. 966, A-985 and the Otto Krause Survey No. 977, A-886, within Comal County. (Pct. #1)

3. Accept substitute road surety, Construction Bond No. K0 7137308, for River Crossing, Unit Five.(Pct. #1)

4. Accept road surety, Construction Bond No. K0 7137291, for Glenwood Subdivision, within Comal County, Texas. (Pct. #2)

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Reports from Elected Officials and Staff.

2. Reports from Citizens.

3. Discussion of water development projects for South Central Texas Regional Water Plan (Region L) of interest to Comal County.

4. Presentation from Mike Heiligenstein, Executive Director of Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority on Regional Mobility Authority (RMA) and how it works.

 

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

5. Accept a $1,000.00 donation from the Department of Public Safety Officers Association to the Sheriff’s Office to be used for D.A.R.E. supplies and amend the Sheriff’s Office budget to increase line for the same amount.

6. Appoint County Extension Agent – Agriculture/Natural Resources for Comal County Extension Services.

7. Discuss and consider waiver of penalties and interest accrued on ad valorem taxes and take appropriate action.

8. Discuss and approve Resolution #2004-64 authorizing sale of certain properties for less than amount of delinquent taxes owed.

9. Ratify County Judge’s signature on Interlocal Assistance Agreement between Travis County and Comal County for the Sheriff’s Combined Auto Theft Task Force.

10. Appoint Commissioner Jan Kennady to serve on the City River Task Committee.

11. Proclamation Recognizing September 2004 as "Emergency Preparedness Month" in Comal County.

12. Approve renewal of Ameriflex Service Agreement (COBRA, HIPPA and Cafeteria Administration) and authorize County Judge or Bob Grazioli to sign.

13. Discuss and consider prohibiting outdoor burning.

14. Amend the budget to increase the revenue line: TDH Grant Reimbursements and the expenditure line in Emergency Management – Non-Capital Equipment for the amount of the reimbursement to be used for the purchase of a laptop computer.

15. Authorize requesting bids for: Repairs to the Comal County Courthouse Annex Roof.

16. EXECUTIVE SESSION as authorized by Government Code Section 551.071 for consultation with attorney.

17. If necessary, discuss and take appropriate action on any and all items or matters discussed in Executive Session.

I received and posted said Notice on the bulletin board at the Southeast entrance of the Old Courthouse located at 100 Main Plaza at a place readily accessible to the general public at all times on the 30th day of August, 2004, at 8:15 a.m. Said Notice remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of said Meeting.
