NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS COURT will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 8:30 AM in the Commissioners Courtroom, 100 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas.  You may visit our website at www.co.comal.tx.us for agenda postings.

Before each regular session will be an invocation and pledges to the flags.  All persons in attendance are invited to participate or not at their own personal discretion.

CALL TO ORDER:

8:30 AM ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Approve Claims.

2. Discuss and consider acceptance of a historical eight drawer cabinet and a historical clerk/teller desk donated by the A.R. Ludwig Family and presentation of Certificate of Appreciation.

3. Recognition of Employees for years of service to Comal County.

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Citizens’ Comments.

2. Presentation of the Public Health March 2014 Report.

3. Reports by County Staff and Elected Officials on items of Community interest.

 

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

4. Discuss and consider approval of Tax Assessor-Collector’s Monthly Collection Report – March 2014.

5. Discuss and consider authorizing the County Engineer to waive permitting fees for the Helping A Hero project at the following locations:

a) 2253 Appellation within Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard, Unit 2;

b) 2257 Appellation within Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard, Unit 2;

c) 1117 Rebecca’s Way within Rebecca Creek Ranches. (Pct. 1)

6. Discuss and consider approval of the Amendment to Plat, River Chase, Unit Eight, combining Lots 1323, 1324, and 1325, establishing Lot 1323R. (Pct. 4)

7. Discuss and consider approval of Agreement for Law Enforcement Services between Comal County Water Oriented Recreation District and Comal County, Texas, for law enforcement services by the Office of Comal County Constable Precinct 4, and authorize County Judge to sign.

8. Discuss and consider approval of Funding Agreement for Voluntary Local Government Contributions for Signing El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail, and authorize Commissioner Kennady to sign.

9. Discuss and consider approval of a budget amendment in Contract Services, FROM: General Fund Reserves, TO: El Camino Real Signage Agreement, to fund the County's portion of the signage costs for the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail.

10. Discuss and consider approval of grant application for Small Watershed Rehabilitation Program and authorize County Judge to sign.

11. EXECUTIVE SESSIONS: 

In accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, Subchapter D, Commissioners Court may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the following items; any final action or vote taken will be in public.

(A) Deliberate and consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, in accordance with Section 551.072, of the Texas Government Code. 

(B) Deliberate issues regarding economic development negotiations in accordance with Section 551.087, of the Texas Government Code.

(C) Deliberate pending/ contemplated litigation, settlement offer(s), and matters concerning privileged and unprivileged client information deemed confidential by Rule 1.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct in accordance with Section 551.071, of the Texas Government Code.
