NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS COURT will be held on Thursday, January 08, 2015 at 8:30 AM in the Commissioners Courtroom, 100 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas. All persons in attendance are invited to participate or not at their own personal discretion.



The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Approve Claims.


1. Citizens’ Comments.

2. Reports by County Staff and Elected Officials on items of Community interest.

3. Presentation of the Walk Across Comal County Certificates and announce the top placing teams.


2. Discuss and consider the following Amendments to Plats:

a. Cordova Bend at Canyon Lake, Unit One-R, combining Lots 156 and 157, establishing Lot 156R (Pct. 1)

b. Ensenada Shores at Canyon Lake, Unit Two, combining Lots 186 and 187, establishing Lot 186R (Pct. 1)

c. Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard, Unit 4, combining Lots 805 and 806, establishing Lot 805R (Pct. 1)

d. Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard, Unit 8, combining Lots 1063 and 1064, establishing Lot 1063R (Pct. 1)

e. Combining Lot 2321 of Mystic Shores, Unit Twenty-One, with Lot 2322R of the Amendment to Plat of Mystic Shores, Unit Twenty-One, establishing Lot 2321R (Pct. 4)

f. The Vistas at Mountain Springs Ranch, Unit One, combining Lots 116 and 117, establishing Lot 116R (Pct. 1)

3. Discuss and consider accepting the extension rider for Construction Bond #65BCSGJ1551 as surety for road construction and storm water drainage improvements within Singing Hills, Unit 1. (Pct. 1)

4. Discuss and consider approval of Release Agreement between Comal County and Quatro & Tortuga and authorize County Judge to sign. (Pct. 4)

5. Discuss and consider acceptance of filing under Tax Code Section 6.231(d) of continuing education certificate of completion by Cathy Talcott, Comal County Tax Assessor-Collector.

6. Discuss and consider appointments to the Comal County Historical Commission Board of Directors with terms to expire January 1st, 2017.


In accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, Subchapter D, Commissioners Court may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the following items; any final action or vote taken will be in public.

(A) Deliberate and consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, in accordance with Section 551.072, of the Texas Government Code.

(B) Deliberate issues regarding economic development negotiations in accordance with Section 551.087, of the Texas Government Code.

(C) Deliberate pending/ contemplated litigation, settlement offer(s), and matters concerning privileged and unprivileged client information deemed confidential by Rule 1.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct in accordance with Section 551.071, of the Texas Government Code.

NOTE: Commissioners Court reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act (Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code).
