NOTICE OF MEETING

COMMISSIONERS COURT OF COMAL COUNTY TEXAS

NOTICE is hereby given that a REGULAR meeting of COMMISSIONERS COURT will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 8:30 AM in the Commissioners Courtroom, 100 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas. You may visit our website at www.co.comal.tx.us for agenda postings.
Before each regular session will be an invocation and pledges to the flags. All persons in attendance are invited to participate or not at their own personal discretion.

CALL TO ORDER:

8:30 AM ACTION AGENDA:

The following subjects will be discussed, considered, and acted upon:

1. Approve Claims.

2. Discuss and consider acceptance of donation check #1137 from Canyon Lake Rotary Foundation in the amount of $500.00 to be deposited into the Comal County Sheriff's Office D.A.R.E. donation line item #010-000-2340.

3. Discuss and consider acceptance of the following donation checks from Comal Cops for Kids:

a. Check #1125 in the amount of $2000.00 to be deposited to the Comal County Sheriff's Office Junior Deputy Academy Camps donation line item #101-000-2348,

b. Check #1124 in the amount of $2000.00 to be deposited to the Comal County Sheriff's Office D.A.R.E. donation line item #101-000-2340, and

c. Check #1123 in the amount of $1000.00 to be deposited to the Comal County Sheriff's Office Crime Prevention donation line item #010-000-2341.

4. Proclamation recognizing Anhalt Halle and the Germania Farmer Verein Texas Historical Commission Marker and Dedication.

WORKSHOP AGENDA:

1. Citizens’ Comments. (Citizens’ Comments are limited to three minutes per person. Pursuant to the Texas Open Meetings Act, the Court is limited in its ability to respond to Citizens’ Comments.)

2. Reports by County Staff and Elected Officials on items of Community interest.

ACTION AGENDA CONTINUED:

5. Discuss and consider acknowledging the completion of road and storm water drainage improvements within Singing Hills, Unit 1, and release the associated surety, Construction Bond #65BCSGJ1551. (Pct. 1)

6. Discuss and consider approval of the Amendment to Plats combining Lot 48R of the Vacate and Replat of Canyon Lake Village, Unit No. 3, with Lots 49, 50, 51, and 52 of Canyon Lake Village, Unit 3, establishing Lot 48RR, Canyon Lake Village, Unit 3. (Pct. 1)

7. Discuss and consider approval of waiver of penalties and interest accrued on 2014 ad valorem taxes and take appropriate action.

8. Discuss and consider approval of United States Fish and Wildlife Service Regional Habitat Conservation Plan Permit Amendment Request to amend Comal County Permit No. TE-223267-0 and authorize the County Judge to sign said amendment request.

9. Discuss and consider approval of Resolution #2015-34 adopting fees to be charged by various Comal County Offices in 2016.

10. Discuss and consider acceptance of resignation of Jim Arnold from the Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County board of directors.

11. Discuss and consider appointment of Mike Cassel to the Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County board of directors to fill the unexpired seat vacated by Jim Arnold.

12. EXECUTIVE SESSIONS:

In accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, Subchapter D, Commissioners Court may convene in a closed session to discuss any of the following items; any final action or vote taken will be in public.

(A) Deliberate and consider the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property, in accordance with Section 551.072, of the Texas Government Code.

(B) Deliberate issues regarding economic development negotiations in accordance with Section 551.087, of the Texas Government Code.

(C) Deliberate pending/ contemplated litigation, settlement offer(s), and matters concerning privileged and unprivileged client information deemed confidential by Rule 1.05 of the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct in accordance with Section 551.071, of the Texas Government Code.

NOTE: Commissioners Court reserves the right to retire into executive session concerning any of the items listed on this Agenda whenever it is considered necessary and legally justified under the Open Meetings Act (Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code).
