County Clerk Jury Information
Once you receive your Jury Summons Card, you MUST fill it out and mail the card or submit the card on-line.
PLEASE NOTE- your jury summons gives the week that you are to report. YOUR TIME IS VALUABLE. Jury trials start on different days and different times during that week. You MUST call or visit our website on the Friday before your scheduled week’s service to determine the correct day and time to appear. Report to 199 Main Plaza in the building on the circle behind the renovated courthouse. Driving Directions
Please note- you will not be asked for your social security number when filling out your jury summons card. This is also true if a court clerk contacts you about your jury duty. You can always call 830-221-1248 and verify if you have been called for jury duty. See information about Jury Summons Scams
Deferment of jury duty – If you received a jury summons and have a conflict, under certain circumstances you may be eligible to reschedule your jury duty. Deferments are subject to the needs of the court. If the court’s needs change your reschedule date may change. Generally you may only postpone your jury duty for one to two months. The preferred way to request a deferment of jury duty is to call the jury clerk at 830-221-1248 then press #2 Civil/Jury. You may also fill out jury summons card on-line with your information and in the comment section request your deferment or you may email one of the jury clerks at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
