Crime Prevention Unit Welcome to the Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit. The Comal County Sheriff's office work hard to stop crimes before they happen. This effort is spearheaded by Crime Prevention Deputy Adam Pastrano, part of the Community Resource Team of the Comal Co. Sheriff’s Office. The (CRT), lead by Sgt. Rick Cardenas, and Cpl. Tim Kolbe, is comprised of school resource, crime prevention, and DARE deputies. This unit acts as a team to perform the community policing functions of the agency.
