Mission:

The mission of Texas Cooperative Extension is to help people help themselves through informal educational activities. Research-based information is available in the program areas of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Community Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H and Youth. Educational programs reach Comal County residents through short courses, seminars, meetings, workshops, result demonstrations and personal contact, as well as newsletters, news releases and radio programs. Programs are offered to people of all ages regardless of socioeconomic level, race, color, sex, religion, disability or national origin.

The Texas Cooperative Extension, Comal County offers assistance to Extension Education and 4-H clubs, as well as community groups and organizations. The office provides project materials for 4-H in both public and private schools. Publications are available on almost any subject of interest to farmers, ranchers, consumers, home gardeners and youth.

The Texas Cooperative Extension, Comal County operates through the Texas A&M University System, the United States Department of Agriculture and  County Commissioners Court.
