COMMISSIONER TO LEAVING BOARD AND CHAIRMAN POST

New Braunfels, Wednesday, December 10, 2008: Comal County Commissioner, Precinct #3 Greg Parker officially resigned his post as a board member and chairman of the Community Council of South Central Texas (CCSCT) today, effective January 10, 2009. “I’ve served on the CCSCT board for nearly four years and seen it through some tough times, it’s time to move on” Parker said. “It has been a wonderful, sometimes frustrating, but always a rewarding experience.”

Commissioner Parker took over as chairman of the CCSCT board during a significant rough spot in the board’s history, but has since turned the organization around. “I leave the CCSCT organization in significantly better shape than when I was appointed” Parker said. “They now have a new executive director, a debt management plan, better employee morale, a financial profit, and a new strategic vision. I truly wish this organization much more success in the future.

Commissioner Parker will be succeeded by Judge Diana Guerrero, Justice of the Peace, Precinct #3, “I believe County Judge Danny Scheel made a great choice” said Parker. “She will serve the citizens and the board well.”
