New Braunfels: Gregory Parker, Comal County Commissioner, Precinct #3 in conjunction with the Comal County Veterans Affairs office has arranged for the Alamo Area Council of Government (AACOG) to expand their transportation assistance program to veterans. The transportation service will offer quality bus services with wheelchair lifts, to get veterans back a forth to doctors appointments and to the VA hospital in San Antonio. "Comal County has always looked out for our veterans," said Commissioner Parker. "And this transportation program is just another way to show we care."

With the new expansion of services, AACOG is also looking for part-time drivers to assist in transporting veterans to and from their destinations, about twenty to thirty hours a week. Application can be picked up at the Comal County Veterans Affairs office, located at the courthouse 100 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, TX 78130. "This is a win win situation for Comal County." said Commissioner Parker. "Not only do we get to help our heroes in uniform, but we can also created jobs in the process." Driver positions pay will start at $7.22 per hour.
