To kick off April 2006 as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, various Comal County children’s agencies such as the Comal County Child Welfare Board, Comal County District Attorney’s Office, Comal County Crisis Center, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Comal County Sheriff’s Office, New Braunfels, Garden Ridge, and Schertz Police Departments, Connections, Communities in Schools, St. Jude’s Center for Young Children, Comal County Public Health, McKenna Memorial Hospital, Children’s Advocacy Center of Comal County, and Court Appointed Special Advocates, will come together On Friday, March 31^st, 2006, 9:00 am at the Commissioner’s Court building, 199 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A proclamation, recognizing April 2006 as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month, and the participating agencies, issued by Comal County Commissioner’s Court will be read. Also the Comal County Child Welfare Board will be on hand to kick off their Blue Ribbon Campaign. A brief reception hosted by Commissioner Parker, will be held in the lobby of Commissioner’s Court building following the presentation.
