New Braunfels: Gregory Parker, Comal County Commissioner, Precinct #3 today offered an amendment to the county’s current tax abatement policy, that adds motion picture production and distribution companies to the list of targeted business the county will strive to attract for tax abatements. "This is a win-win for county citizens," said Commissioner Parker. "These companies are clean, they offer great jobs, and they produce significant revenues for other local secondary businesses, such as catering, shopping, etc." This amendment to the renewed tax abatement policy was adopted by a 3 to 1 vote and takes effect immediately. "This abatement now allows Comal County to take the lead in attracting, television stations, larger indie film companies and other support services." said Commissioner Parker.
