Proclamation - Naming the Week of April 22 – 28, 2007 as "Small Business Week" in Comal County and Recognizes Judi and Cecil Eager of Gruene Mansion Inn as Comal County’s Small Business Person of the Year

WHEREAS, Small Businesses employ six out of every ten people in our Country; and

WHEREAS, Small Businesses account for the majority of new jobs; and

WHEREAS, Small Businesses are more flexible in responding to shifting markets and are able to bring new products to market faster; and

WHEREAS, in keeping with a forty year practice, Small Business Week, 2007 was proclaimed by President George W. Bush.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Commissioners’ Court of Comal County, Texas, duly convened and acting in its capacity as the governing body of Comal County does hereby name April 22 – 28, 2007 as "Small Business Week in Comal County" and recognizes Judi and Cecil Eager of Gruene Mansion Inn as Comal County’s Small Business Person of the Year and urges all citizens to observe this week and recognize the Small Businessmen and Women of Comal County for their achievements and contributions to the economy of New Braunfels.
