Comal County Law Library

The Comal County Law Library is operated as a public service for residents of Comal County. The library is paid for through a portion of civil court costs dedicated to the operation of the library, per Local Government Code §323.023. The library is strictly for legal research.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions:
- Library computer stations are cleaned with disinfectant regularly. Hand sanitizer is available.
- Do not enter the library if you have tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 10 days, have had symptoms for COVID-19 within the previous 10 days, or have had recent known exposure to COVID-19 within the previous 14 days.
Assistance:
- Library patrons may leave resource requests with the law librarian via phone or email.
- Please note: the Law Librarian is not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice. The librarian’s hours may change due to holidays or scheduled appointments. Email or call ahead to set an appointment and to ensure the librarian is available.
- Please provide specific title or form information.
- Law Library materials are not available for checkout; print resources are available for in-house research only.
- The Library provides Lexis legal research for public access.
- Printing and copies are free.

- The library is located on the basement level, accessible by the first floor stairway or elevator #1.
- The library offers a left handrail stepladder to reach print materials on higher shelving, yet for those in need of assistance we recommend setting an appointment with the librarian.

- ADA compliant restrooms are located on the first floor, across from Courtroom C.

Resolution Room:
- Comal County offers a Resolution Room – conference space that seats 10 and offers laptop streaming to a wall mounted monitor.
- The Resolution Room is located through the library reading room.
- For reservations, please contact the librarian at 830-221-1249.
- Resolution Room reservations do not include the library reading room space or librarian’s office.
- Library patrons may use the Resolution Room for research work when the space is not reserved.
