Welcome to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Online Police Reporting System. If this is an Emergency please call 911. Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free. Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you.
- This is not an Emergency?
- This incident occurred within Comal County and not in the incorporated City Limits of New Braunfels, Schertz, Garden Ridge or Bulverde?
- There are No Known suspects?
- You are not reporting a lost or stolen firearm?
PLEASE NOTE:
If you are reporting that a firearm has been stolen or lost, you must make that report in person at the Sheriff’s Office (3005 W. San Antonio St, New Braunfels) or by calling (830) 620-3400.

If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you are ready to file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report. Upon completion of this report process you will:
- See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete.
- Be given a police report case number.
- Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.
Please Note:
- All cases filed online using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be treated the same as reports written by deputies.
- Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
- Filing a false police report is a crime.
Using the Comal County Sheriff’s Office Police Online Citizen Reporting System you can now file an online police report for the following kinds of crimes:
- Theft from a Motor Vehicle (Burglary of a Motor Vehicle)
- Burglary of a Coin Operated Machine
- Gas Drive Off
- Harassment
- Internet Fraud
- Lost Property
- Theft
- Theft of Service
- Vandalism or Graffiti
- Violation of Child Custody Order

If your incident is not listed in the category selection list, please call the Comal County Sheriff’s Office (emergency 9-1-1; non-emergency 830-620-3400) to file your report.
Evidence:
If you have evidence to support your police report (like documents, photos, videos, or other recordings) you will be given a prompt during the report-writing process to upload those files. When/if that evidence is needed by an officer or prosecutor, you will be contacted directly.
If you are filing a Financial Crime report:
These types of crimes can often take weeks or months to investigate and are often delayed while detectives attempt to get information from financial institutions that you (as the victim) can get within days. Download this checklist so you can gather all of the information needed by detectives BEFORE you file your report. And remember: Credit/Debit Card Abuse and Forgery reports must be filed in the jurisdiction where the offense occurred.
