Comal County Sheriff's Office

A message from Sheriff Mark Reynolds

All of us have been impacted in different ways by COVID-19 and everything it affected. On behalf of the Comal County Sheriff’s Office, I would to extend heartfelt condolences and prayers to families that lost loved ones. As we come out of the grips of COVID, I would ask that we each of us to continue to practice precautions when and where you can, to protects yourself and your family.

An update of the Sheriff’s Office and Jail. The new Comal County Jail, located at 3000 IH 35 South, New Braunfels, Texas, opened for operations in August of 2020. All Comal County inmates are housed within and we have agreements in place to hold inmates for other Texas counties and the US Marshal Service prisoner’s, as space is available. The Sheriff’s Office was vacated for the renovation that began in April of this year. Some staff are temporarily located in the new Jail Administration area and some are in other facilities. We hope to return in February of 2022 with more space and offices for staff and just in time to resume our Citizen Sheriff Academy Class. Our 2020 CSA class will have the first option to return.

We are honored and privileged to serve Comal County and appreciate the support!!

Sincerely,

Mark W. Reynolds, Sheriff

The Comal County Sheriff's Office Admin building is closed temporarily during renovation and moved to the new Comal County Jail 3000 S IH 35 New Braunfels, TX 78130-7086.
